From the maker

For years, releasing my own app was something I hoped to do someday. I started more than once, but never made it all the way. Then I began building Once & Someday, an app about turning hopes into lived moments, and realized it had become my own Horizon. This app is the someday I am finally living.

There is no Once & Someday account or social feed. Your data is stored on your device and can sync through your private iCloud database.

Moments and Horizons are stored locally and sync through your private iCloud database on Free and Pro. Calendar suggestions are found on your iPhone.

No account

Once & Someday does not require a separate login, profile, or password.

Private reminder controls

Choose Memories, Horizon check-ins, or both. Titles are visible by default, and you can hide them in Settings.

Export your complete archive, including its media, and restore it later on Free or Pro without replacing current versions.

Before you begin.

What is the difference between a Moment and a Horizon?

A Moment is something you lived and want to keep. A Horizon is something you want to experience. It can stay as a someday idea or include timing, steps, and savings. When it happens, “I lived this” turns the Horizon into a Moment and keeps the Journey connected.

Do Horizons have deadlines?

No. Timing, steps, savings, and reminders are optional, and a Horizon never becomes overdue.

Can I undo “I lived this”?

Yes. Undo fulfillment returns the Horizon to its previous active or resting state. You choose whether the resulting Moment stays on its own or is deleted.

What does Once & Someday cost?

The beta is free to try. Free lets you create up to 25 Moments and keep 2 Horizons active, with one photo per Moment and private iCloud sync. “I lived this,” archive export, and restoration stay available even when an archive is above those allowances. Pro adds unlimited creation, richer media, full reflections, Storybooks, and premium widgets. Current prices are shown in the app.

What is a Storybook?

A Storybook is a designed PDF created privately on your device. Choose Signature or Home Movie, then keep, print, or share the finished book wherever you like.

Can I share a Moment or Horizon?

Yes. Choose Signature or Home Movie, then export a 9:16 Story or 4:5 Feed image. Only the image you choose leaves the app.

Is my archive private?

Yes. Your archive stays on your device and syncs through your private iCloud database on both Free and Pro. There is no Once & Someday account.

Can I take my data with me?

Always. Archive export creates a folder with readable JSON and all media stored in your archive. You can restore it later on Free or Pro. Restoration adds missing items without replacing your current versions.

What happens if Pro ends?

Your existing content stays readable and editable. Premium media can still be viewed, reordered, removed, exported, or replaced one-for-one. Private iCloud sync, “I lived this,” archive export, and restoration remain available.

Which devices does it run on?

Once & Someday is built natively for iPhone and also runs on iPad. It needs iOS 18 or later. There is no Android version today.
